How to Become a Player – Embrace the Journey

If you’re looking to become a player, you’ve come to the right place. This article is inspired by one of my readers who is having difficulties learning how to become a player.
He feels as though he keeps getting stuck. He makes progress, see’s some results, and then immediately wonders “what’s next?”. Not immediately knowing the answer makes him feel stuck, like he’s not improving.
In this article I want to discuss why learning how to become a player, or any self improvement for that matter, is a never ending process. There’s never going to be a time when you’re like, “Yes, I’ve reached my final destination. I’m exactly as good of a player as I can be. I’m exactly as good of a person as I could be.”
It’s not like Final Fantasy where you’re a video game character levelling up. There is no maximum level, no level 99. It doesn’t exist.
To help yourself quickly become a player, you absolutely need to recognize this. It will help change your focus, which is very important for numerous reasons.
So if there was a level 99 of playerdom and all you were doing was being focused on that level, that’s the same as having outcome orientation. You’re out of the moment right now. You’re not really thinking about what’s going on right here and now because all you care about is level 99.
So, it takes away from the authenticity of what you’re doing because every part of the process is awesome, not just the level 99!
To allow yourself to quickly become a player, what you really need to do is transfer your focus. It needs to go away from level 99 and come back to wherever you’re at right now. There’s really amazing things that happen along the way! I mean, compare it to learning guitar or an instrument. You have fond memories of your first guitar.
You remember picking it up and only being able to play a couple of notes, then you remember learning chords, and then you remember when you first began to shred! This is what I mean when I say you need to enjoy the process.
It’s not like you hated playing guitar when you could only play a few notes just because EVENTUALLY you wanted to shred. It was ALL enjoyable.
The same thing applies when learning how to become a player and improve yourself. It’s got to be enjoyable throughout. The first time you get a kiss. Woo! You celebrate. You don’t mope about how you failed to get the girl to sleep with you and focus solely on making it to that level, you celebrate and enjoy it! Right here, right now, you’re improving.
You’re enjoying it. Never ending. Even the bad nights are enjoyable because it’s all just part of the process. It’s all for good. It’s all progressing you towards becoming a true player. It’s all expanding your self knowledge and confidence.
When you become a player, you’ll realize it’s a constant process, it’s never ending, and it only continues to get better.
This mindset is going with your specific interactions as well. Without your incessant focus on level 99 (perhaps laying every girl you choose), you won’t ever wreak of “outcome orientation”. When you focus too much on the future and not enough in the present, you come of weak in your interactions and inauthentic.
Women will read it all over you.
If you come up to a woman with a player agenda, she’s going to intuitively know. But, if you are just enjoying the process of becoming a player, you’ll just be enjoying the interaction, and you’ll ACTUALLY become a player.
Does that make sense? Reread it and understand how releasing the incessant desire for success, you actually achieve success!
Focusing on just the moment, what you’re doing right now. The process. Enjoying it all. This is going to bring you to new levels of success. You should absolutely stop thinking about reaching level 99 and start just being authentic, enjoying people, experiencing the world, and experiencing your life. Just by choosing to become a player and refusing to give up, you are guaranteed success.
