How to Get a Girls Phone Number

This article is inspired by one of my readers who wants to know:

“How can I go about getting a girl’s phone number? I have no problem starting a conversation and getting girls to seem interested in me, but I have no idea how to get a girls number. Please help!”

Below I will share some of my best tips on how to get a girls phone number. Specifically, as the title says, I’ll give you my simplest methods and mindsets for grabbing those digits!

First, I want to say that getting a girls phone number is just a step in the process. It’s not an end goal. So, once you’re game is good, you don’t want to go out with the intention of getting phone numbers. Starting out though, you should do the exact opposite!

If you are currently working on getting good at grabbing a girls number, then you should go out with JUST that as your end goal. Get as MANY as you can in one night. Once you can consistently grab a two or three phone numbers every time you go out, you’ll know that you’re done learning how to get a girls number and can move on.

Here’s why you definitely need to move beyond this stage as quickly as possible.

What I found out is that the amount of girls phone numbers you get doesn’t really matter. What matters is how awesome the interaction was. The girls that you had an amazing time meeting, are the numbers that turn into something more. The ones that you just grab their number just to grab another number, usually don’t turn into much.

There just isn’t any authentic intentions behind it.

The catch 22 is that the interactions which are truly awesome, the number exchange usually happens by default. There’s no thought involved. It’s just so clearly obvious that you guys enjoy talking that it’s the only thing hat makes sense. Strive for these interactions whenever possible!

I also think it’s important to mention that you should not freak out with excitement every time you get a girls number. This does not mean she’ll be your next girlfriend, or wife. Many numbers will turn into flakes, especially when you’re still learning how to have solid game.

So, what does a phone number really mean? All it means, is that you can attempt to re-enter her life at some point. I’m not telling you not to get excited about it, but I’m just letting you know not to put too much energy into each one.

Here is exactly how to get a girl’s phone number, the easiest way possible. I do this all the time!

Take your phone out of your pocket and say something like “Hey, I’ve been enjoying our conversation. Let’s network!” or “Throw your number in there, maybe we’ll hang out sometime!” or literally any other statement that sums up to mean “Toss me your number and maybe we’ll hang.”

What you don’t want to do is nervously hand your phone to a girl while discussing a possible romantic date, unless you are already clearly VERY into each other. It’s too high pressure. It’s like she’s agreeing to go out on a weird date with this guy if she puts her number in the phone.

Side note: If when you are getting a girls number you put the phone out right toward the center of their chest, it’s a normal human reaction to grab the phone in order to guard the chest. They’ll take the phone from you before even thinking about it, therefore committing to the interaction. Sneaky sneaky!

It’s important to remember that getting a phone number is no big deal. You are a social guy who is used to grabbing girls numbers. It’s normal for you.

If getting a phone number is new to you, the way to get good fast is to go out and get a bunch of numbers. Make it your goal for the night to get x amount of phone numbers.

It doesn’t even matter if they are all 1 minute interactions with a quick number close because you are simply doing it to work on the skill of asking for a girls phone number.

“Hey you seem really cool throw your number in there and maybe we’ll hang out sometime!”

Another good tip is to follow up with a text that night. Don’t make it something that needs a response. “Nice meeting you…you rock! =P” will do the trick. It helps to skip a line and sign your first name. This way, if the girl forgot your name, she now has it and is already getting used to texting with you. This helps open up communication right away.

To sum it all up, knowing how to get a girl’s phone number is ultimately very easy. Just chat like you normally would and at some point it that makes sense, grab the number with the techniques above.
